A 56-year-old male van driver was arrested for suspected drink-driving and careless driving causing hurt after knocking over a cyclist along Bukit Timah Road on Tuesday night (Mar 16).

The 27-year-old male cyclist was conscious when conveyed to hospital.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a van and a bicycle along Bukit Timah Road towards Upper Bukit Timah Road at 9.48pm.

Stomper Lee alerted Stomp to a video of the incident shared on SG Road Vigilante's YouTube channel.

In the video, the van is seen sideswiping the cyclist who falls onto a grass patch by the side of the road.

The van doesn't stop, spurring the motorcyclist recording the incident to give chase.

The rider overtakes the van, forcing him to come to a stop.

Police investigations are ongoing.
