Van catches fire during wee hours at Limbang Shopping Centre carpark

A van caught fire at Block 553A Choa Chu Kang Street 51 in the early hours of Monday (July 27).

Stomper Saravanan alerted Stomp to the incident that occurred at the multi-storey carpark of Limbang Shopping Centre.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at around 2.45am.

The fire, which involved an engine compartment of the van, was extinguished by SCDF using a compressed air foam backpack and a water jet.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
