Why did the snake cross the road at Heng Mui Keng Terrace?

Why did this 2.5-metre long slithery friend cross the road? I guess we will never know. 

Stomper Ade spotted this snake along Heng Mui Keng Terrace while he was walking back from work yesterday night (May 7).   

He said: 

"Thank god I'm saved from a big snake.

"I also managed to stop two young schoolgirls who wanted to walk towards the snake.

"I believe the snake wanted to find something to eat and wanted to cross the road but stopped halfway because it saw me walking down the hill."

Stomper Jamie also saw a snake at Jurong Heritage Trail at 9.30pm and sent a photo of it to Stomp.
