Parkway Parade closed after fire last night: Shoppers and employees stranded outside mall for over 3 hours

Miko has informed us that Parkway Parade will be closed for the entire day.

Parkway Parade is closed to the public after a fire broke out last night (May 15) at 11.50pm.

Stomper Miko, who works at the Marine Parade mall, told Stomp that she has been waiting outside since 7.50am.

Said Stephanie: "The fire broke out on the second floor."

The mall has been closed off for investigation.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the fire started in the storeroom of a unit on the second floor of the mall and was extinguished using one water jet.

No injuries were reported and there was no need for an evacuation.
