"Mum, I love you. I'm gonna die": Heartbreaking last messages from victim of Orlando shooting

The deadliest mass shooting in American history occurred in downtown Orlando, Florida at a popular gay nightclub called Pulse on Sunday (June 12).

49 people have been reported dead so far and 53 were left injured, reports BroBible.

According to an AsianTown report, the shooter, Omar Mateen, was killed by the Florida SWAT team.

One of the victims, Eddie Justice, has received increased media attention after his mother released chilling images of a series of texts she received from her son after the gunman opened fire inside the nightclub.

While in the nightclub as the shooter opened gunfire, Eddie and others party goers managed to hide in the bathroom where Eddie sent texts to his mother telling her he loved her.

The texts that followed said, “He’s coming,” “I’m gonna die,” and the next said, “He has us, and he’s in here with us.”

Unfortunately, shortly after those texts were sent Eddie and the other party-goers who hid in the bathroom were killed.
