Car goes up in flames in dead of night near Block 572 in AMK

Stomper Yi Yong and Jane saw a car on fire at a carpark in Ang Mo Kio near Block 572 today (May 10) at around 2.35am.

In the photos they sent, the bonnet of a grey-coloured car was engulfed in flames. 

Said Jane with regards to what she saw:

"I thought someone was doing prayers outside my house because I smelt some burning. When I looked out, I saw the car on fire."

Stomper Yi Yong saw the car burning for about 5 minutes before personnel from the Singapore Civil Defence Force arrived to extinguish the flames.

"I don't think anyone was injured", said the Stomper.

The cause of the fire is unclear.
