An elderly man tried to disarm a 34-year-old male who brandished two knives following a dispute at a coffeeshop at Block 143, Teck Whye Lane at around 7.40pm on Jul 12.
Stomper Wayne alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was circulating on social media.
In the video, two men can be seen restraining the individual with the two knives. Red stains believed to be blood can be seen on the blade of one of the weapons.
The elderly man in a white polo T-shirt was talking to the knife-wielding individual, possibly to ask him to surrender the knives.
After the halfway mark of the video, a struggle ensued when the former tried to pry the knives away from his agitated counterpart. If is unclear however, if he managed to do so.
A fifth man can be seen seated near the group. He had what appears to be blood on his blue top.
The Straits Times understands that three men in the group were having drinks when the 34-year-old went off after a dispute and returned with the knives.
