A Stomper was waiting for the bus at about 8.30am this morning (Sep 19) when he saw a man smoking at the bus stop of Block 270 Bukit Panjang Road.

In a video taken by the Stomper, an elderly man with tattoos on his left arm is seen taking a puff from a cigarette bud.

The Stomper said: "I felt unhappy seeing it because of the smell and it is illegal as well.

"I didn't approach to tell him anything because my bus was coming."

Under the Smoking Act by the National Environmental Agency, it is an offence to smoke at a bus stop, which includes any area within a five-metre radius of it.
