Two-car accident causes massive pile-up along Upper Changi Road East

An accident involving two cars caused a massive traffic jam along Upper Changi Road East on Tuesday afternoon (Oct 8).

Stomper Mark alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos he took as he was passing by the scene at about 5.30pm.

In his photos, Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers are seen hosing down the road next to a car that appears to have crashed into a traffic light.

Several buses are seen lined up along the road.

"An accident caused a pile-up at Tanah Merah," he said.

"Bus services were affected."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving two cars at the junction of Upper Changi Road East and Bedok Road at about 4.15pm.

No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.
