TP officer skids after coming into contact with glass shards on road

A traffic police officer skidded on the road after his motorcycle came into contact with glass shards that were lying on the ground.

Stomper Anonymous alerted us to a video of the incident that was posted on Roads.SG.

The incident was said to have happened on Feb 6, at 10.35pm along Tampines Avenue 10.

Two traffic police officers were seen riding along the stretch of road when one of them in front slowed down.

Stomp understands that there were glass shards on the road at the time of the incident.

The traffic police officer who was behind skidded on the road, causing sparks to fly.

In response to media queries from Stomp, the police said that they confirmed the accident involving a police motorcycle had occurred along Tampines Avenue 10 towards Pasir Ris Drive 12.

"The 28-year-old male traffic police officer was conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital," the police told Stomp.

Police investigations are ongoing.
