A Stomper expressed frustration regarding a dislodged lift door at Block 569 Hougang Street 51.

He informed Stomp that he alerted the Essential Maintenance Service Unit (EMSU) regarding the breakdown at 7.42am on Sunday (Aug 1) and shared a video showing how the lift doors could not close.

In response to a Stomp query a spokesman from AMKTC said: "The Town Council was alerted of the dislodged lift door at Block 569 Hougang Street 51 on Sunday, Aug 1, 2021 at about 7.42 am.

"Our lift contractor was immediately deployed to attend to the defective lift door and the lift resumed its operation at about 12.57 pm on the same day; no one was injured.

"Safety of our residents is foremost.

"We wish to thank residents who alerted us about the dislodged lift door and apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused."
