Tower Transit bus makes 'dangerous and illegal turn' at Bukit Panjang junction

A Tower Transit bus allegedly made an illegal right turn at the junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Bukit Panjang Ring Road on July 18 at around 7pm.

Sharing videos of the incident, a Stomper said that the bus service 963 made the turn on a forward-only lane.

Regarding one of the videos, he said: "This is the rear view. The bus driver chose to drive all the way to the front of everyone, including me, and make such a dangerous and illegal turn."

In response to a Stomp query, Tower Transit said: "We will refer this feedback to the relevant departments for them to conduct necessary investigation with the bus captain from the information that you have provided us with.

"Rest assured that our staff managers will conduct a coaching session to address this matter. In addition, this invaluable feedback will be referred to our training department to share with our team of bus captains on key points relating to service level of such and reinforce on consistent driving standards."
