Tow truck crashes into bollard at Teck Whye Crescent junction, driver assisting police with investigations

A 30-year-old driver is assisting police with investigations for careless driving after the tow truck he was driving crashed into a bollard at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Drive and Teck Whye Crescent.

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to photos circulating online of the incident that happened on Sunday morning (June 21).

In the photos, the front of the vehicle is completely wrecked and debris is seen lying on the ground in front of it.

It appears it was towing a taxi before the collision occurred.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 8.16am.

"The 30-year-old male driver is currently assisting with police investigations for careless driving," a police spokesman said.

No injuries were reported.
