What do you do when you have too much laundry to dry?

Most of us will probably try separating them into batches to dry in moderation, due to a lack of space and for fear of inconveniencing other people.

A resident at Block 303B Anchorvale Link clearly does not feel that way, however.

Stomper JA alerted Stomp to her "inconsiderate neighbour" who has been placing rows of laundry at the staircase landing on the tenth floor.

Photos from JA show how her neighbour's laundry has taken up the entire common space and is causing an obstruction.

In response to media queries by Stomp, a spokesman for Ang Mo Kio Town Council said: "In accordance with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) regulations, items placed along the common corridor must not cause any obstruction.

"A clear passageway of 1.2m clearance is to be maintained at all times, ensuring an unobstructed escape path during emergency situations.

"We have advised the resident and the laundry was promptly removed from the staircase area. We will continue to monitor the situation and educate residents on the issue."
