A Stomper wants to express her gratitude to an uncle known as Mr Lim for leaving her pouch containing $5,040 at Cairnhill Neighbourhood Police Post on Sep 15.

She had left the pouch on a bench near Block 50 Dorset Road on Sep 14.

Apart from the money, the pouch also contained her Long Term Visit Pass, two bank cards and an ASUS phone worth around $300.

The Stomper had made a police report on Sep 15 and was informed later that day that someone had returned her pouch to the police post.

When she went to retrieve her pouch, she was surprised and overjoyed to find that all her money was still inside.

"I wanted to thank the uncle who returned it but I could not find him," said the Stomper.

Thankfully, the staff at the nearby Pek Kio Community Centre knew who the uncle was as he had gone there first with the pouch before going to the police post.

The staff arranged for the Stomper to meet Mr Lim today (Sep 18).

"I thanked him and gave him some money to show my appreciation," she said.

She did not wish to disclose the amount.

"He is a really good person. Thank you so much, uncle!"

She also wished to thank Serine Tan, Tan Soon Boon and Jeff from Pek Kio Community Centre for helping her find Mr Lim.
