A 17-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital after he was involved in an accident with a bus at the junction of Tampines Avenue 4 and Tampines Avenue 5 on Tuesday evening (June 4).

Stomper WL alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos taken at the scene.

In the photos, the bicycle is leaning against a bollard and its front wheel is bent out of shape. A Foodpanda delivery bag is placed on the ground next to it.

The double-decker bus service 129 is seen parked by the side of the road.

In response to a Stomp media query, the police said it was alerted to the accident at about 7.43pm.

"The cyclist, a 17-year-old teenager, was conscious when conveyed to Changi General Hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
