A teacher is looking to reconnect with students he used to teach at Montfort Secondary School 27 years ago.

Stomper Richard shared with Stomp that after reading Stomp's report on a teacher from Hai Sing Catholic School reuniting with her students from 25 years ago, he was inspired to go down memory lane as well.

"I chanced upon Montfort Secondary School's 1996 annual which has been digitised in the National Library archives and managed to retrace my history with the school," he said.

"I even managed to reconnect with three of its members, including a fellow teacher colleague who still teaches at the school."

Richard is hoping to reconnect with some students he led on a mountaineering expedition as part of the school's 80th anniversary in 1996.

"I was just a 19-year-old physical education (PE) teacher then," said Richard.

"My students were in Secondary 3 then and must be 41 years old now."

Richard shared with Stomp he was looking for four missing members who went on the expedition but has since managed to find three.

"One of the students who is now a parent shared with me that the climb was the turning point in his life."

The last one to complete the puzzle is Max Ng, who is now a fighter pilot.
