Taxi fails to stop for red light despite woman crossing road with child

A taxi was caught on camera beating the red light and failing to stop for pedestrians who were crossing the road.

Facebook page SG Road Vigilante shared a video of the incident that occurred in Hougang on November 2, at around 2pm.

In the video, the ComfortDelGro taxi can be seen failing to stop for a red light at a pedestrian crossing. A woman who was crossing the road with a child had to stop in their tracks instead.

Netizens have slammed the cabby's behaviour and called for enforcement action to be taken against him.

Some also pointed out that it was fortunate that the pedestrians were vigilant and alert.
