Taxi beats red light and crashes into Toyota

A video of a TransCab taxi beating the red light and ramming into a Toyota car at a traffic junction has been circulating on WhatsApp. 

Stomper Ah Boy alerted Stomp to the video, which was shared with him by a friend. 

In the footage, the driver of the Toyota car SGD5050T could be seen crossing the junction after the light turned green, only for a TransCab taxi to dart across, crashing into it. 

After the initial impact, the Toyota moved a short distance to the left, before stopping.

The collision also damaged both vehicles, with the TransCab taxi’s bonnet being visibly dented. 

According to Ah Boy, the accident happened yesterday (Jun 28) afternoon, just directly outside the Masjid Al-Khair mosque at 1 Teck Whye Crescent, in Choa Chu Kang. 

Said Ah Boy:

“Who ever knows the owner of this vehicle, please help forward this video to him to assist with the insurance claims.

“Please drive safely, thank you.”
