A recycling bin caught fire at Block 733 Tampines Street 71 on Wednesday night (Apr 2).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it was alerted to the fire, which involved the contents of a recycling bin, at around 10.20pm.

The fire was extinguished by members of the public using buckets of water prior to the SCDF's arrival, said a spokesman.
