S'pore couple have terrifying experience at Sarawak hotel after watching Conjuring 2

Singaporean Damian Ng Yih Leong and his girlfriend got far more than they bargained for when they decided to watch this movie during their recent trip to Miri, Sarawak.

The couple returned to their room in the Imperial Hotel at about 2.30am after a night out and were too tired to anything else other than having a quick nap.

Damian's girlfriend woke up to brush her teeth 15 mintues after that, and that is when things started to get really strange.

Noticing a cross drawn on the bathroom mirror and assuming it was a prank by her boyfriend, she woke Damian up to ask him why he had done so.

Damian, confused by this, assumed that she was the one pranking him.

However, they were both left spooked when they went back into the bathroom and saw a vivid cross drawn on the mirror.

Except, this cross was fresh, with water droplets coming down on one side of it, as if it was done just moments ago.

Realising neither one of them was pulling a prank and now completely frightened, they quickly requested for the hotel to assist them with a change of room.

Damian explained in his facebook post that despite the late hour, the staff were kind enough to comply.

By 3am, the couple were in a different room where they were able to rest without any unexpected surprises.

When they went back to their initial room, they realised that the cross drawn on the mirror was no longer there, scaring them even further.

In case you are wondering, they were initially in room 6115 in the new wing.

Despite the weird events, Damian commended the staff at Imperial Hotel for being understanding and accommodating to their requests despite the late hour.

"After our room change, we did not encounter anymore weird incidents. This is my first first hand encounter with paranormal activity and it was certainly hair raising for us," said Damian in his Facebook post.
