A woman allegedly took a Kopitiam card containing over $50 in value that a diner had left behind at a top-up machine.

The incident occurred at Kopitiam @ Northpoint City on 31 March.

Stomper Gsaid she had been having lunch at the food court when she went to top-up her Kopitiam card with $50.

She added: "A woman was standing behind me when I was doing the top-up. I walked away and later realised I didn't take my card.

"I went to report to the food court's management. They saw this woman taking my card and leaving quickly after that (from the CCTV footage).

"The woman didn't return the card to the food court management nor to me, and the management suggested that I make a police report."

According to G, her card contained balance value in addition to the $50 she had topped up.

G also alerted Stomp to an appeal put up by the police regarding the case of dishonest misappropriation of property.

In a Facebook post on May 3, Yishun North Neighbourhood Police Centre shared an image of the woman and said it is looking for her to assist with investigations.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Police Hotline at 1800-2550000. Information can also be submitted online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
