Stomp wins Gold for Best Social Media Engagement at Asian Digital Media Awards for 2nd year running

Citizen-journalism website Stomp clinched the Gold award for Best in Social Media Engagement at the 9th Asian Digital Media Awards (ADMA) on Thursday (Nov 8).

Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH) received a total of 13 awards at ADMA 2018, including nine accolades for The Straits Times and three for its Chinese Media Group (CMG).

Presented by World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) in Hong Kong, the ADMA 2018 recognises publishers who have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product offering to meet the major changes in how people consume news and information today.

A total of 157 entries were submitted from 27 media companies from 10 countries.

Leveraging on its extensive reach and the strength of its community, Stomp has made an ongoing effort to Fight Fake News and Get Things Done in the past year.

Besides debunking fake news, Stomp has also used its influence to achieve positive outcomes, from reuniting long-lost family members to fighting crime.

This is the fourth year in a row that Stomp has achieved recognition at the ADMA.

In 2017, the website was awarded Gold for Best in Social Media Engagement and Bronze for Best News Website.

In 2016, it clinched Silver for Best News Mobile Service and Bronze for Best Reader Engagement.

And in 2015, Stomp's interactive iPad app won Gold in the Best New Product category.

We would like to thank all our Stompers for helping to make this happen :)
