Stomper R and Stomper Bee Ping came across a snake in Jurong East and St George's Road in two separate incidents.

Stomper R saw the snake in a canal in Jurong East on Nov 14 at about 8.30pm.

She was jogging along the pavement when she saw something in the canal.

She said: "I have never seen a snake before in this area."

In the other incident, Bee Ping saw the snake in a canal near St George's Road this morning (Nov 15) at about 8am.

She said: "I was walking with my children going for breakfast, when my daughter said she saw a snake in the water.

"I looked in the canal and there was a long snake, about 1.5m long."

Bee Ping captured a video of the snake and sent it to Stomp.

"The snake seemed like it was trying to get out of the water. The water levels were high and it was really struggling," she added.

"It was my first time seeing a snake and I didn't expect to see one so near my home."
