SMRT bus crashes into central divider railing in Choa Chu Kang, driver assisting with investigations

A bus crashed into a central divider railing near Yew Tee MRT Station on Friday morning (Nov 18).

The 66-year-old bus driver is assisting police with investigations, the police told Stomp.

Stomper Jo alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo of the SMRT bus stuck on the central divider along Choa Chu Kang Drive towards Choa Chu Kang Road.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the incident at 8.04am.

No one was injured and police investigations are ongoing.

In response to a Stomp query, SMRT Buses managing director Tan Kian Heong said: "At around 8am this morning (Nov 18), an SMRT bus service 302 collided into a road divider along Choa Chu Kang Drive.

"All four commuters on board were transferred safely to another bus to continue their journey.

"We are assisting the police with their investigations."
