A Stomper staying at Compassvale Road in Sengkang found the packaging of the items she had ordered at an online store crammed inside her letterbox at 4.20pm on Sep 26.

She had ordered a bluetooth speaker and a makeup palette from online fashion and cosmetic retailer website ASOS.

The bluetooth speaker and makeup palette in the packaging were not damaged but the box containing her bluetooth speaker was dented.

The Stomper told Stomp: "I opened the letterbox and found the package crammed in there. I had to shove my hand inside to get the parcel out.

"I was quite frustrated. If it was a small package then it would have been fine. But there was a handle on the side of the box and it was very difficult to remove from the letterbox. Is it laziness or do you not care about the customer?"

She said that this was not the first time she had received parcels in her letterbox.

"This happened before but I didn't mind because it was clothes," she added.

In response to a Stomp query, SingPost said today (Oct 2): "We thank the Stomper for her feedback and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

"Having spoken to her directly, we are happy to learn that the items within the packaging were undamaged.

"We have reminded all our postmen and postwomen to exercise more care in ensuring that packages fit not only the aperture they use to deliver items into the letterboxes, but also the letterbox opening that is accessed by the resident.

"We would like to take the opportunity to highlight that the public may call our hotline 1605 for assistance with their mail."
