Stomper Lim alerted Stomp to an accident along Keppel Road before Kampong Bahru Road at around 11am today (Apr 18) involving two SBS buses, that left a woman with a bloodied leg.

Lim said he was a passenger on Bus 57 and the bus was travelling towards VivoCity when it collided into the rear of a double-decker bus.

Said the Stomper:

“The bus driver didn’t manage to stop in time and he hit the double-decker bus.

“The windscreen smashed and the broken glass cut the leg of a woman who was sitting at the front.

“A passenger gave her a tissue paper to press against the wound. Another passenger also called the police.”

“We immediately alighted the bus and went to a nearby bus stop.”

In the photos Lim contributed, an SBS Transit bus with licence plate number SBS8678T can be seen with a smashed windscreen and damaged front bumper.

Blood can also be seen on the bus deck.

A spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp:

“SCDF was alerted to the incident at about 12.20pm and dispatched two ambulances to scene.

"A total of four casualties were conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.”

A police spokesperson added that the casualties were aged between 25 and 63.
