Stomper Oliver was at Geylang yesterday (Nov 5) when he noticed a store selling a Samsung Galaxy Note7 phone.
He was surprised that the store was selling the device amidst reports of Samsung recalling all handsets after several Note 7s exploded around the world.
Last month, The Straits Times reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is dead.
Production of the phone has been permanently discontinued.
A Singapore spokesman said:
"For the benefit of consumers' safety, we stopped sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7 and have consequently decided to stop production."
