Stomper Amy was along Jalan Bahar yesterday morning (Apr 2) when she witnessed an accident, involving a car and a motorcycle.

Amy was waiting to cross the road, near the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) flyover, when she saw a car collide with a motorcycle at the traffic junction.

Said the Stomper:

"The bike was sent flying in the air and it hit a pole before crashing to the ground. The man landed on the road.

"I immediately ran to the man. He was conscious and said that he couldn't move as his leg was numb.

"I was scared but relieved because he was conscious and not bleeding. I called the ambulance and it arrived in less than 10 minutes."

In the photos Amy contributed to Stomp, the wrecked red motorcycle can be seen upside down along the side of the road. Pieces of the motorbike are scattered around it.

A police spokesperson told Stomp:

"On 2nd April 2017 at 10.47am, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Jalan Bahar and PIE.

"A 19-year-old male motorcyclist was conscious when conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

A spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force also told Stomp that they received a call for ambulance assistance at about 10.50am, and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
