LTA impounds E-scooter belonging to man caught riding it along Mandai Rd

Land Transport Authority (LTA) posted a post on their Facebook yesterday (Nov 29) to warn E-scooter owners to refrain from riding on roads as they had already impounded an E-scooter along Mandai Road. 

LTA said in the post:

"We would like to remind all e-scooter riders that it is an offence to use their PMDs on the road and we will take enforcement action against any rider found doing so."

This series of crackdowns on reckless riders is part of LTA's periodic enforcement operations after complaints of E-scooter users riding on the road rose.

Since May, LTA has conducted over 560 operations and impounded about 20 E-scooters.
