Driver in his 20s dies after car rams into tree on Changi Coast Road, 5 others injured

One person was killed and five others injured after a car crashed into a tree along Changi Coast Road at 6.35am today (July 29).

Stomper Noor was riding on bus service 35 when he saw the aftermath of the accident and sent a video he had posted on his Facebook page to Stomp.

According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) via The Straits Times, the driver of the car was a man in his 20s.

He was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated using hydraulic rescue tools.

The police informed Stomp that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and that five passengers were conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
