While others dine at 'atas' restaurants on V-Day, this couple shows you what true love is all about

Forget 'atas' restaurants and expensive gifts, this couple shows that all you need for Valentine's Day is a simple dinner and the company of a loved one.

Stomper Zack was having beer with his buddies at Pasir Panjang Hawker Centre yesterday (Feb 14) when he saw a young couple having dinner at a nearby table.

In a telephone interview, the Stomper said he noticed that the woman was holding a flower.

She and her companion were eating mini-steamboat dishes and spent about an hour at the hawker centre.

Photos sent by Zack show the couple enjoying both their simple fare as well as each other's company.

Said the Stomper:

"This young man brought his girlfriend to Pasir Panjang Hawker Center to celebrate Valentine's Day with a simple gift of a stalk of flower and two sets of mini-steamboat.

"I think this is touching and unique.

"Happy to see both of them lovingly sharing their mini-steam boat. Loving relationships should be like that. You rarely see young couples eating at hawker centres for Valentine's Day nowadays.

"My best wishes to both of them."
