Stomper Patricia was on board an MRT train at Tanah Merah station today (Dec 24) at around 4.30pm when she noticed that water was flowing down from the top of the carriage into the train.

In a telephone interview, the Stomper said that it was raining rather heavily when the incident took place.

In a video she sent, the water flowing down from the roof of the train resembled a small waterfall. A commuter sheltered herself with a jacket as she entered while another dashed across the open door.

Passengers in the relatively empty MRT train were unfazed with what was going on and remained seated.

Said the Stomper with regard to what she saw:

"I am not sure what happened.

"Tanah Merah was the only station where the water was flowing down like that. I alighted at Lakeside.

"The water that got into the carriage started flow out after the doors closed."
