Did you catch last night's breathtaking display of lightning in the sky at around 7.30pm?

No worries even if you missed it -- thanks to these beautiful photos captured in Woodlands by Stomper Kannan.

More amazingly, he shot these impressive pictures using a Samsung Galaxy S6.

Kannan told Stomp on WhatsApp:

"The lightning yesterday was very bad and intensity only reduced after about two hours.

"Took some shots of the lightnings strike from my flat at Woodlands Avenue 5 from the 11th floor.

"The rain was very heavy from 6pm and only subsided at 8pm."
