Shoppers take items from Chinatown Complex store in 3 separate cases over 5 months

Since June 2017, a clothing store located at Chinatown Complex shopping mall has encountered at least three different cases of shoppers taking items that they did not pay for.

Stomper Nad, whose grandmother's friend has owned the shop 'Romance' for a few years, alerted Stomp to what happened.

She also sent CCTV footages of the various incidents, each involving a different person.

1. $28 black shirt taken by woman

Date: Nov 2, 2017
Time: 2pm

A video shows the woman browsing through some female tops, looking around, waiting for a passer-by to leave, and then stuffing a black shirt into a paper bag that she was carrying.

2. $6,000 gold bracelet taken by woman

Date: Sep 4, 2017
Time: 12.47pm

Nad told Stomp: "The bracelet dropped off from the shop owner's wrist without her knowing it, as she was busy unpacking clothings.

"It taken by a lady who left without checking or asking the owner at all.

3. $35 men's top taken by man

Date: June 3, 2017
Time: Unknown

In a video, a man is seen taking a shirt from the display rack, removing its hanger (which he returns to the rack), folding up the shirt, and then putting it into a bag that he was carrying.

According to Nad, police reports have been lodged for all three cases.
