Segar Road or Cigarette Road?
A shirtless man was caught on camera throwing the cigarette from the 13th storey of an HDB block at Segar Road in Bukit Panjang on Sept 6 at 12.40pm.
Stomper C shared a video of the "botak uncle" smoking at the block.
In the 41-second video, the man is first seen holding a lit cigarette over the railing. After a few final puffs, he casually flicked away the cigarette and walked away.
Under the Environmental Public Health Act, stiff penalties can be meted out for high-rise littering offences.
The maximum fine for each littering act is $2,000 for the first court conviction, $4,000 for the second conviction and $10,000 for the third or subsequent conviction.
The court may also issue a Corrective Work Order in addition to any court fines meted out.
The video has been sent to the National Environment Agency.
