Arrested: Shirtless guy runs out onto road, blocks and hits vehicles then confronts pedestrians

A 28-year-old shirtless man was arrested for rash act after he was seen running out into oncoming traffic, blocking vehicles and hitting them.

Facebook user Goh Ming Zhou posted a video of the man's antics with the caption: "Finally, I met this kind of hero."

Stomp reached out to Goh who said that this happened on Sunday (Sep 2) at around 8.50pm near Geylang Lorong 18.

In the video, the first of the shirtless man's "victims" is a yellow cabby who is forced to a stop when the man runs towards the taxi and dramatically falls to the road.

He then gets up and repeatedly hits the front of the cab before moving unsteadily towards a black car which he starts to hit as well.

He then raises his arms as if to challenge the driver before rolling to the ground again as the car moves off.

The shirtless man continues to block and hit more vehicles as the video goes on until he realises that he has attracted a crowd of onlookers.

He shouts at them before running towards the pavement and confronting them.

He is then seen approaching Goh in an intimidating manner just before the video ends.

"I pushed him away and I walked away," Goh said on what happened next.

Another Facebook user, Xiaoyan Yanzi, posted a video of the incident from a different angle.

In response to a Stomp media query, the police said they were alerted to a case of rash act along Geylang Road on Sep 2 at about 9.11pm.

"A 28-year-old man was arrested in relation to the case," the spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Just last month, Stomp reported on a woman was caught on video dancing in the middle of a road before lying on and climbing up the bonnet of a taxi.
