Selfless rider directs traffic at Cantonment Road junction after lights break down

A rider stepped forward to direct motorists when the traffic lights at the junction of Cantonment Road and Neil Road broke down on Tuesday morning (July 16).

Stomper Lee alerted Stomp to the good deed and shared a video he took of the man wearing a helmet, standing in the middle of the busy junction and guiding the way for others.

He said that the incident happened at about 10.43am.

He told Stomp that he later went back to the junction to talk to the rider who is an off-duty Army officer.

"This is a very good example of selflessness," said Lee.

"We need more people like him who have the courage to do the right thing in an unusual situation.
