Seen this FB post of man stuck on clothes rack at Tampines? It’s actually a Stomp article from 2016

Recently, a Facebook post of a man getting rescued after getting stuck on a clothes rack has been circulating on Facebook.

In a post shared by Facebook user Mawar Berduri on Sept 30, 2017, the elderly man could be seen hanging precariously from a rack outside an HDB flat, as officers from the SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) raced to save him.

Many netizens were puzzled at how the man could have ended up on the rack.

However, a search by the Stomp Team revealed that the incident actually happened on July 11, 2016, at Block 410 Tampines Street 41.

Several Stompers had alerted Stomp to the incident then.

If you’re wondering what happened to the man, he was promptly brought to safety by SCDF officers using a combined platform ladder.

Although this was technically an actual incident, do note that old content can be reposted and masqueraded as new stories.
