Patrons of a coffee shop at Block 401 Hougang Avenue 10 were left shocked when a heated dispute broke out between two men at around 12.05am today (Aug 11).

Stomper Bugatti, who was dining at the kopitiam, took videos of the incident and shared them with Stomp.

According to her, the two men involved in the altercation were staff from the same stall. One guy was topless while the other, dressed in a yellow shirt, was the stall owner.

"They were in their 40s to 50s," added Bugatti.

At one point in the video, the topless man can be seen falling onto the ground and being helped out by a third party, while the other guy continued shouting at him.

Bugatti said, "Not sure what the commotion was all about as they were speaking in Mandarin.

"Apparently, the shirtless guy was drunk and disturbed the stall owner, which caused a table to be flung and some plastic chairs to be pushed aside.

"Afterwards, some of the other stall vendors stepped in to intervene and stop the fight.

"The situation was eventually calmed down. Customers continued their dining and business went on as per normal."

In response to media queries, the police said they received a call for assistance at 12.38am.

"The parties involved were advised accordingly. No further police assistance was required," a police spokesman told Stomp.
