SCDF conducts forcible entry to put out fire in hardware shop at Serangoon Road

A fire broke out in a hardware store along Serangoon Road on Friday night (Jan 22).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at No.556 Serangoon Road at around 11pm.
The fire involved contents of a hardware shop.
"SCDF conducted forcible entry into the unit and extinguished the fire using one water jet," a spokesman told Stomp.
Stomper Yeow, who shared a photo of the scene, said the incident resulted in a traffic jam.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
