SCDF conducts forced entry into Jurong West shop to put out fire

A fire broke out in a hardware store at Block 492 Jurong West Street 41 on Friday night (Oct 28).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire, which involved contents of a shop on the first floor, at around 10.35pm.

SCDF conducted forced entry into the unit and extinguished the fire using a water jet.

Stomper Cathy shared a video showing firefighters, police officers and emergency vehicles at the scene.

According to her, no one was in the hardware store at the time of the incident.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation, SCDF added.
