An ambulance was called to the Woodlands Checkpoint on Sunday afternoon (Sept 4).

Sharing a photo of the incident, Stomper Jay said: "Taxi man having a cardiac arrest on the way to Singapore. I hope he is fine."

In the photo, officers from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority can be seen around the ambulance and a paramedic handling a stretcher.

As the week-long September school vacation starts this weekend, the checkpoint is likely to be even busier than usual.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it received a call for assistance at 21 Woodlands Crossing at about 2.25pm.

"SCDF conveyed a person to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital," it added.
