Rider suffers abrasions on legs and arms after allegedly hitting pothole on KPE

A motorcyclist suffered abrasions on his arms and legs after he allegedly hit a pothole along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) towards the Tampines Expressway (TPE), near Lorong Halus on Tuesday night (Nov 12).

Stomper Mark told Stomp that he stopped to help the fallen rider and offered first aid.

"I used my flashlight on my phone to warn traffic to slow down as it was a blindspot on the corner.

"Vehicles are always speeding at that area coming down the slope.

"The pothole was exactly situated at the sharp bend on the road.

"The motorcycle was totally damaged on the left side with its handlebar and front fork irreparable."

He added that a passing Emas recovery truck that was towing a taxi also stopped to help.

Stomp understands that the rider refused conveyance to hospital following the accident.
