Rider gets knocked off bike by van that made sudden lane change along expressway

A motorcyclist was flung off his bike after he was sideswiped by a van making a sudden lane change along an expressway.

Stomper Allen alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page on Sunday (Sep 23).

It is unclear where or when the accident happened.

In the video, the van is seen travelling behind a taxi on the left side of the expressway.

The driver suddenly changes lanes to the right after seeing traffic slowing down in the lane he is in.

He appears to not see the oncoming motorcyclist and hits him, sending him spinning on his bike on the road.

Another motorcyclist and other drivers are seen stopping to assist the fallen rider.

According to the post, the van driver did a hit-and-run but a netizen who said he witnessed the incident said the van driver later stopped his vehicle further along the expressway.
