Residents evacuated after fire breaks out in balcony of Hillview condo in Bukit Batok

Residents of Natura @ Hillview were evacuated after a fire broke out in the Bukit Batok condominium on Saturday night (Aug 27).

Sharing a video of the fire in a home on the top floor of the building, Stomper AK said the fire alarm was not working.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was alerted to a fire at No. 22 Hillview Terrace at 10.40pm.

"The fire involved a storage cabinet at the balcony of a 10th floor unit. SCDF extinguished the fire using a hosereel," said SCDF.

"About 15 residents were evacuated by the police as a precautionary measure.

"There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
