PUB investigating pipe leak at Orchard Road

PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, is investigating a pipe leak that happened at Orchard Link on Thursday (Aug 20) at 11.24am.

Stompers Andrew and Anonymous alerted Stomp to the incident and sent photos of what happened.

In the photos, service crew can be seen at the scene helping to resolve the issue.

"It was difficult for people to cross over," Andrew shared.

Anonymous also said: "Kudos to the PUB staff and workers for helping to fix the issue."

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for PUB said: "PUB received a report of a pipe leak at the Orchard Road junction of Orchard link at 11.24am on Thursday (Aug 20).

"PUB deployed our service crew to the site immediately.

"The leak was stopped within two hours to facilitate repair works.

"Water supply to customers and buildings in the area was not affected.

"Repair works are ongoing and PUB is investigating the cause of the incident.

"Members of the public can call PUB’s 24-hour call centre at 1800-CALL-PUB (1800-2255-782) to report any pipe leaks."
