A protruding manhole cover along Old Tampines Road has been removed and replaced, following a Stomp report about how the uneven ground caused an e-scooter rider to fall.

Stomper PinkyDear had been riding his e-scooter towards Upper Changi Road North on Sep 10 at around 8pm when he went over the manhole cover and fell off his bike.

He said in a Sep 14 report that the accident left him with abrasions on his knees, palms and the back of his hands.

Yesterday (Sep 21), PinkyDear informed Stomp that the issue with the manhole cover has since been rectified.

He said: "The hazard has been resolved.

"Thanks to the authorities for their swift action on this.

"Due to an increase in the number of Personality Mobility Devices (PMD) users, it is important to provide a safe environment for them.

"Thank you once again."
