Pregnant woman in Malaysia traumatised after biker smashes car windows with hammer, helmet

A pregnant woman in Lebuh Kampung Jawa, Malaysia, was left traumatised after a motorcyclist suddenly went berserk, smashing the windows of her car with a hammer and helmet.  

The incident which happened at 8.42am on Thursday (April 26) was caught on video. 

Footage from the video shows the motorcyclist stopping his bike behind the woman’s gray car AHL9696.

He cracks the rear windscreen of the woman’s car after smashing it with a hammer, before picking up his helmet and swinging it at the other windows. 

The video also shows a heated argument between the two prior to his outburst.

A dent is observed on the left side of the woman’s car. 

The woman is five months pregnant and had been on her way to drop off her sister at her workplace, reports the New Straits Times

A source told the paper that the woman had slowed down her car to make a right turn, but the motorcyclist still hit the front left side of the vehicle.

The source added: "When the woman said she wanted to lodge a police report about the incident, the man became angry and started to smash her car’s windscreen."

A police report was lodged after the incident. 

Southwest district police chief Superintendent A. Anbalagan said that the 31-year-old motorcyclist had been arrested to assist with investigation. 

He added: "Checks showed the man has past criminal records and was involved in drugs.

"He was also tested positive for drugs and we have seized the helmet and the hammer."

The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief, said the police chief.
