Postman disciplined after Jalan Bahagia resident finds parcel crammed into letterbox

Stomper Song was dismayed to find a parcel crammed into his letterbox in Jalan Bahagia on Sunday morning (May 5).

Song contributed a video that shows him retrieving the parcel from his letterbox.

Song said the parcel contained CDs. Fortunately, they were not damaged.

He told Stomp: "Isn't the postman supposed to deliver bulky items to the doorstep?"

In response to a Stomp query, a SingPost spokesman said it was alerted to the incident on Monday (May 6).

The spokesman added: "We met with the resident in person and apologised for the inconvenience caused.

"We are relieved that the package’s contents were not damaged.

"The postman in question has been disciplined and we have also shared this case as a learning point for all staff.”
